Sinopsis

Buat Soren (Jim Sturgess), mendengarkan kisah legendaris yang dituturkan ayahnya adalah sesuatu yang tak pernah membosankan. Suatu ketika, saat mereka saling dorong di atas sarang merek di atas pohon, Soren dan Kludd ditangkap oleh pasukan Pure Ones yang dipimpin oleh Metalbeak (Joel Edgerton) dan Nyra (Helen Mirren).

Soren dan Kludd dibawa ke tempat pelatihan para burung hantu yang akan dijadikan tentara untuk melawan The Guardians. Dengan bantuan Gylfie (Emily Barclay), Soren berhasil meloloskan diri dan berangkat menuju Great Ga’Hoole Tree, tempat persembunyian The Guardians. Dalam perjalanan mereka bertemu Twilight (Anthony LaPaglia), Digger (David Wenham), dan Mrs. Plithiver (Miriam Margolyes) dan berangkat bersama menuju Great Ga’Hoole Tree. Di saat yang sama Kludd ternyata berhasil dibujuk untuk bergabung dengan prajurit Pure Ones dan melawan The Guardians.

Sinopsis

It is the year 1250 B.C. during the late Bronze age. Two emerging nations begin to clash after Paris, the Trojan prince, convinces Helen, Queen of Sparta, to leave her husband Menelaus, and sail with him back to Troy. After Menelaus finds out that his wife was taken by the Trojans, he asks his brother Agamemnom to help him get her back.

Agamemnon sees this as an opportunity for power. So they set off with 1,000 ships holding 50,000 Greeks to Troy. With the help of Achilles, the Greeks are able to fight the never before defeated Trojans. But they come to a stop by Hector, Prince of Troy. The whole movie shows their battle struggles, and the foreshadowing of fate in this remake by Wolfgang Petersen of Homer’s ”The Iliad.”

Bukan perjalanan mudah karena letak planet tersebut yang teramat jauh. Namun ekspedisi ini ternyata bisa terlaksana berkat dukungan dana dari Weyland Industries, perusahaan raksasa yang menyediakan kapal ruang angkasa, Prometheus sebagai kendaraan mereka.

Bersama awak kapal yang lain, di antaranya Captain Janek (Idris Elba), Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron), wanita misterius, wakil Weyland Industries, yang mengawasi jalannya ekspedisi, serta android buatan Weyland yang gerak-geriknya mencurigakan, David (Michael Fassbender), Shaw menempuh perjalanan selama 2 tahun lamanya menuju planet temuannya tersebut.

etibanya di planet tujuan, kru Prometheus mendapati lanskap dan juga atmosfer planet yang hampir mirip seperti planet Bumi di masa prasejarah. Belum habis keheranan mereka, kru Prometheus menemukan sebuah tempat aneh seperti kuil batu tepat di tengah lembah luas. Untuk menjawab rasa penasaran, Prometheus memutuskan untuk mendarat di dekatnya dan melanjutkan ekspedisi darat ke kuil tersebut.

Betapa terkejutnya Shaw dan kawan-kawan saat menemukan patung kepala manusia raksasa di dalam kuil tersebut. Penemuan mereka akan kuil, patung kepala manusia, dan juga benda-benda misterius lainnya membuat teori Shaw bahwa ’Pencipta’ manusia adalah makhluk asing makin mendekati kebenaran. Tim ekspedisi seperti mendapat ’harta karun’ akan pencarian mereka selama ini. Naasnya, satu-satu demi satu kejadian aneh muncul bersamaan dengan makin jauh mereka menyelidiki tempat yang mereka sebut ’pencipta’ manusia ini.
